About the Study Hours Planner

What is the Study Hours Planner?

Build a balanced study timetable in seconds. Give each subject a priority from 1 to 5, and the calculator shares your weekly study hours in proportion.

It converts each subject's share into minutes per day and focused sessions, with a 5-minute break after each session.

How to use the Study Hours Planner

  1. Study Hours Available per Week (sample: 30)
  2. Subjects and Priority 1–5 (one per line: subject, priority) — one subject per line: subject name, priority from 1 (low) to 5 (high). (sample: Mathematics, 5 Physics, 4 Chemistry, 3 English, 2)
  3. Focus Session Length (minutes) (sample: 25)
  4. Press Split My Study Hours (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Study Hours per Week, along with Average per day, Focus sessions per week and Method.

Formula used

Subject hours = Weekly hours × Subject priority ÷ Sum of priorities

  • Sessions = hours × 60 ÷ (session length + 5-minute break)

25-minute sessions follow the Pomodoro technique; longer sessions suit deep work.
