Last updated: 28 September 2026 • Complete schedule of cookies, browser storage, purposes, and user consent controls.

Your Active Consent Status

Strictly necessary cookies are active to secure the platform. You have the right to withdraw or customize analytics and advertising consent at any time.

1. Statutory Scope & Affirmative Consent (Section 6)

This Cookie & Local Storage Policy explains how Gizcalc India ("we", "us", or "our") uses HTTP cookies, modern browser local storage (localStorage / sessionStorage), and related telemetry technologies across our platform (gizcalc.in). We are committed to complete transparency, purpose limitation, and data minimization in strict accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (Act No. 22 of 2023) and the DPDP Rules, 2025.

Under Section 6 of the DPDP Act 2023, consent given by a Data Principal must be free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous with a clear affirmative action. Gizcalc strictly rejects the use of "dark patterns", pre-ticked consent checkboxes, or cookie walls that prevent access to free calculators. Non-essential tracking mechanisms remain disabled by default until you grant affirmative consent.

2. Distinguishing Cookies from Browser Local Storage

  • HTTP Cookies: Small alphanumeric text tokens placed in your web browser by a web server. Cookies are automatically transmitted back to the host server with every HTTP network request. We keep HTTP cookie deployment to an absolute minimum, utilizing them primarily for security tokens and authenticated session state.
  • Browser Local Storage (`localStorage`): A client-side web standard that enables web applications to store key-value data directly on your local device without expiration. Crucially, localStorage data stays inside your browser and is never transmitted over the internet to our servers during general browsing. Gizcalc uses localStorage to store your private calculation bookmarks, dark/light theme preference, and draft notes in the Notepad tool.

3. Complete Itemized Cookie & Storage Inventory

Below is an exhaustive, itemized disclosure of every cookie and client-side storage element deployed on Gizcalc:
