About the Course Credit Calculator
What is the Course Credit Calculator?
Degrees under the choice-based credit system require a set number of credits. This course credit calculator shows how far you have come and how long the rest will take at your usual load.
Under NEP 2020, credits you earn are stored in the Academic Bank of Credits.
How to use the Course Credit Calculator
- Credits Completed (sample: 78)
- Credits Required for the Degree (sample: 120)
- Credits You Take per Semester (sample: 20)
- Press Track Credits (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Course Completion, along with Credits remaining, Semesters remaining, Years remaining (2 semesters a year) and Academic Bank of Credits.
Formula used
Completion = Credits completed ÷ Credits required × 100
- Semesters left = remaining credits ÷ credits per semester, rounded up
A typical four-year UG degree under NEP needs about 160 credits.
