About the Time Zone Converter
What is the Time Zone Converter?
This time zone converter changes a date and time from one zone to another using the official time-zone database, so daylight saving is handled automatically.
It shows the time difference and whether the target is on the previous or next day.
How to use the Time Zone Converter
- Date and Time (sample: 2026-10-22T22:57)
- From Time Zone (sample: India – IST)
- To Time Zone (sample: New York / Toronto (Eastern))
- Press Convert Time Zone (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Converted Time, along with Source time, Target offset, Time difference and UTC time.
Formula used
Target time = Source time − Source UTC offset + Target UTC offset
- IST = UTC+05:30 all year (India has no daylight saving)

Tips for using the Time Zone Converter
- The US and Europe change clocks on different dates, so the gap with India changes by an hour in March and October–November.
- For several zones at once, use the world clock or the meeting time planner.
