About the Age Calculator
What is the Age Calculator?
This age calculator gives your completed age in years, months and days on any date – the format used in school admissions, exam forms and government applications.
It also shows the total days and weeks you have lived, the weekday you were born and how long until your next birthday.
How to use the Age Calculator
- Date of Birth (sample: 15 Jun 1995)
- Age on Date — set this to a cut-off date (for example 1 April for school admission or the exam's age reference date). (sample: 22 Oct 2026)
- Press Calculate Age (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Age, along with Completed years, Total months, Total weeks and Total days.
Formula used
Age = Date − Date of birth, counted in whole years, then whole months, then days
People born on 29 February celebrate on 28 February in non-leap years here.

- Exam notifications state an "age as on" date – enter that date, not today's.
