About the Super Built-up Area Calculator
What is the Super Built-up Area Calculator?
Super built-up area is carpet area plus walls plus your proportionate share of common areas. Builders use it to quote a lower-looking rate per sq ft.
Enter the carpet area, the share of walls and balconies, and the common-area loading on the built-up area to see all three measures and the total loading over carpet.
How to use the Super Built-up Area Calculator
- Carpet Area (sq ft) (sample: 1,000)
- Walls & Exclusive Balcony Share (% of carpet) (sample: 10)
- Common Area Loading (% of built-up) (sample: 25)
- Press Calculate Super Built-up Area (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Super Built-up Area, along with Built-up area, Common area added and Overall loading over carpet.
Formula used
Super built-up = Carpet × (1 + Walls %) × (1 + Loading %)
- Built-up = carpet × (1 + walls %), usually 10–20% more than carpet
Overall loading over carpet = super built-up ÷ carpet − 1.
