About the Payslip Preview Calculator
What is the Payslip Preview Calculator?
Joining a new company? This payslip preview shows what your monthly payslip is likely to look like, starting only from your annual CTC.
It splits the CTC into monthly components, estimates TDS for the year and adjusts for any loss-of-pay days.
How to use the Payslip Preview Calculator
- Annual CTC (₹) (sample: 12,00,000)
- Basic Pay (% of fixed CTC) (sample: 40)
- Provident Fund (sample: 12% of full basic)
- Tax Regime (sample: New regime (default))
- Professional Tax (₹ per year) (sample: 2,500)
- Days in the Month (sample: 30)
- Loss-of-Pay Days (sample: 0)
- Press Preview Monthly Payslip (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Net Pay This Month, along with In words, Loss-of-pay deduction and Employer PF (not in net pay).
Formula used
Monthly net = (Basic + HRA + Special allowance) × Paid days ÷ Days − PF − PT − TDS
- TDS = estimated yearly income tax on fixed pay ÷ 12
Tax follows FY 2025-26 rules: under the new regime, taxable income up to ₹12 lakh (₹12.75 lakh of salary) pays no tax.
