About the Multi-Floor Area Aggregator
What is the Multi-Floor Area Aggregator?
For construction estimates, approvals and property tax, you often need the total built-up area across all floors. This calculator adds each floor's area and shows a floor-wise table.
Enter one floor per line with its name, length and width. Add a rate per sq ft to see the total cost.
How to use the Multi-Floor Area Aggregator
- Floors (one per line: name, length, width) — one floor per line: name, length, width. For example: Ground floor, 40, 30. (sample: Ground floor, 40, 30 First floor, 40, 30 Second floor, 30, 25)
- Measurements In (sample: Feet)
- Construction or Sale Rate (₹ per sq ft, optional) (sample: 0)
- Press Add Up Floor Areas (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Total Built-up Area, along with Total in square metres and Number of floors.
Formula used
Total built-up area = Σ (Length × Width) of each floor
- Metres = converted at 1 sq m = 10.7639 sq ft
For L-shaped floors, split them into rectangles and enter each as a separate line.
Worked example

| Measurements In | Feet |
| Construction or Sale Rate (₹ per sq ft, optional) | 0 |
| Result | Value |
|---|---|
| Total Built-up Area | 3,150 sq ft |
| Total in square metres | 292.6 sq m |
| Number of floors | 3 |
Tips for using the Multi-Floor Area Aggregator
- Check the total against the floor area ratio (FAR/FSI) allowed on your plot.
- Balconies and staircases may count differently for approvals; check local bylaws.
