About the Wealth Multiplier Calculator
What is the Wealth Multiplier Calculator?
The wealth multiple shows how many times an investment grows: a 3× multiple turns ₹1 lakh into ₹3 lakh. Thinking in multiples makes the power of compounding and time very clear.
Enter an amount, an expected annual return and a number of years. The calculator shows the multiple, the final value, the wealth gained and the time needed to reach 2×, 5× and 10× at that return.
How to use the Wealth Multiplier Calculator
- Amount Invested (₹) (sample: 1,00,000)
- Expected Return (% per year) (sample: 12)
- Investment Period (years) (sample: 10)
- Press Calculate Wealth Multiple (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Wealth Multiple, along with Final value, Wealth gained, Years to double (2×) and Years to 5×.
Formula used
Wealth multiple = (1 + r)ⁿ
- r = the annual return
- n = the number of years
- Years to reach k× = ln k ÷ ln(1 + r)
Final value = amount × multiple.

Tips for using the Wealth Multiplier Calculator
- At 12% a year, money grows about 3× in 10 years and about 10× in 20 years.
- Adding just a few years of investing has a bigger effect than a slightly higher return.
- Compare multiples after inflation to see real growth.
