About the Water Intake Calculator
What is the Water Intake Calculator?
Your daily water intake needs depend on body size, activity and weather. A common guide is about 35 ml per kg of body weight, plus extra for exercise and hot, humid days – very relevant in most of India.
The calculator adds these together and converts the total into 250 ml glasses.
How to use the Water Intake Calculator
- Weight (kg) (sample: 70)
- Exercise per Day (minutes) (sample: 30)
- Climate (sample: Hot or humid (+0.5 L))
- Pregnancy / Breastfeeding (sample: Neither)
- Press Calculate Water Intake (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Daily Water Intake, along with Glasses of 250 ml, Base need (35 ml per kg), Extra for exercise and Note.
Formula used
Water (ml) = 35 × weight + 12 × exercise minutes + climate and pregnancy extras
- Hot climate = +500 ml
- Pregnancy / breastfeeding = +300 ml / +700 ml
People with kidney or heart conditions may need to limit fluids – follow medical advice.

Tips for using the Water Intake Calculator
- Spread intake through the day rather than drinking large amounts at once.
- Pale yellow urine is a simple sign of good hydration.
