About the Net Worth Calculator

What is the Net Worth Calculator?

Your net worth is everything you own minus everything you owe. It is the single best snapshot of your financial position — income shows what you earn, but net worth shows what you have actually built.

Add up your assets (bank balances, FDs, investments, PF and PPF, gold, property, vehicles) and your liabilities (home, car, personal and education loans, credit-card dues). The calculator shows your net worth and your debt ratio — the share of your assets funded by debt.

How to use the Net Worth Calculator

  1. Total Assets (INR) (sample: 15,00,000)
  2. Total Liabilities (INR) (sample: 4,50,000)
  3. Press Calculate Net Worth (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Net Worth, along with Assets, Liabilities and Debt Ratio.

Formula used

Net worth = Total assets − Total liabilities

  • Debt ratio = Total liabilities ÷ Total assets × 100

Value assets at today's realistic market value, not their purchase price.

Debt Ratio30%

Tips for using the Net Worth Calculator

  • Track net worth once or twice a year; the trend matters more than the number.
  • A debt ratio below 30–40% is generally healthy; above 50% needs attention.
  • Paying off high-interest debt increases net worth just as surely as investing.
