About the Credit Score Builder
What is the Credit Score Builder?
Improving a credit score is a matter of consistent habits over months. This credit score builder turns your current situation into a practical plan and an estimated timeline.
Enter your current and target scores, card utilisation, recent late payments and credit history. The plan shows the points you need, the quick win from lower utilisation, an estimated time and the specific steps to follow.
How to use the Credit Score Builder
- Current Credit Score (sample: 650)
- Target Score (sample: 750)
- Current Card Utilisation (%) (sample: 60)
- Late Payments in the Last 12 Months (sample: 1)
- Credit History (sample: Have loans or cards for 1+ year)
- Press Build My Score Plan (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Estimated Time to Target Score, along with Points to gain, Quick win from lower utilisation, Your plan and Note.
Formula used
Months ≈ 2 + (Points needed − Quick win) ÷ Monthly gain
- Quick win = +20 to +40 points from bringing utilisation below 30%
- Monthly gain = about 4–6 points a month with clean on-time payments
An indicative rule-of-thumb estimate; scores depend on each bureau's model.

Tips for using the Credit Score Builder
- Every single on-time payment builds your record — never miss one.
- For a thin file, a secured card against an FD builds history safely.
