Estimated Biological Age —

Sample inputs are pre-filled so you can see a result quickly. Results are estimates only and may not be accurate because prices, interest rates, taxes, fees, fuel costs, tariffs, market returns, medical costs, and local rules can change. Please verify current values before making financial, tax, legal, medical, or business decisions.

Formula used

Biological age = Actual age + Σ ln(Hazard ratio) ÷ 0.085

  • Hazard ratio = relative risk of death for each factor, from large cohort studies
  • 0.085 = yearly rise in adult mortality risk (Gompertz slope)

About the Biological Age Estimator

What is the Biological Age Estimator?

Your biological age reflects how your lifestyle and health affect your risk compared with others of the same age. This estimator converts the effect of each factor on mortality risk into equivalent years of ageing.

Because the risk of death roughly doubles every 8 years of adult life, a habit that doubles risk, such as smoking, adds about 8 years to your biological age.

How to use the Biological Age Estimator

  1. Age (years) (sample: 40)
  2. Tobacco (sample: Never)
  3. Exercise (sample: Some regular activity)
  4. BMI (Asian Indian cut-offs) (sample: 23–24.9 (overweight))
  5. Sleep (sample: 7–8 hours)
  6. Blood Pressure (sample: Normal)
  7. Blood Sugar (sample: Normal)
  8. Diet (sample: Average)
  9. Press Estimate Biological Age (results also refresh as you type). The result card shows the Estimated Biological Age, along with Difference from your actual age, Biggest factor and Method.

MethodEach risk factor's hazard ratio is converted into equivalent years of ageing (mortality doubles about every 8 years)

Tips for using the Biological Age Estimator

  • Quitting tobacco has the biggest single effect for smokers.
  • Regular exercise can make your biological age several years younger than your actual age.

Frequently asked questions

A measure of how old your body behaves, based on health and lifestyle, compared with your calendar age.

Smoking roughly doubles mortality risk, which is equivalent to about 8 years of ageing.

Yes. Exercise, a healthy weight, good sleep and controlling BP and sugar all reduce it.
